Οι κιρσοί και οι ευρυαγγείες που εμφανίζονται στην περιοχή του αστραγάλου, είναι γνωστές στην ιατρική ως Corona Phlebectasia.
Ετυμολογικά, η λέξη «κορόνα» αναφέρεται στα τριχοειδή αγγεία και φλεβίδια που εμφανίζονται στην έσω-κάτω περιοχή του ποδιού, κοντά στον αστράγαλο, που μοιάζουν με τις ακτίνες του ήλιου ή τις ακτίνες ενός ποδηλάτου.
Η λέξη «φλεβεκτασία» υποδηλώνει την ύπαρξη παθολογικών φλεβών.
Οι δυο αυτές λέξεις μαζί αναφέρονται στην εμφάνιση και εξάπλωση ακτινωτών δυσλειτουργικών αγγείων και φλεβιδίων στον αστράγαλο, που προέρχονται απο κεντρικότερα σοβαρά φλεβικά προβλήματα και είναι σημάδι χρόνιας φλεβικής ανεπάρκειας.
Τι προκαλεί τους κιρσούς στον αστράγαλο;
Όταν οι φλέβες λειτουργούν σωστά, μεταφέρουν το αίμα μόνο προς την κατεύθυνση της καρδιάς. Κάποιες φορές, οι βαλβίδες που βρίσκονται στο εσωτερικό των φλεβών, οι οποίες εμποδίζουν τη ροή του αίματος προς τα κάτω, παύουν να λειτουργούν με αποτέλεσμα το αίμα να λιμνάζει χαμηλά στα πόδια λόγω της βαρύτητας. Αυτό το φαινόμενο είναι γνωστό ως Φλεβική Παλινδρόμηση ή Φλεβική Ανεπάρκεια. Όταν το αίμα λιμνάζει σε κάποιο σημείο της φλέβας που πάσχει από Φλεβική Παλινδρόμηση, οι πιέσεις αυηάνονται, η φλέβα διαστέλεται και ένα εξόγκωμα μπορεί να εμφανιστεί στην επιφάνεια του δέρματος. Έστι δημιουργείται ένας κιρσός.
Οι ασθενείς που υποφέρουν από κιρσούς στην περιοχή του αστραγάλου, σχεδόν πάντα έχουν τις μεγάλες επιφανειακές φλέβες του ποδιού χαλασμένες. Αυτή η παθολογική κατάσταση θεραπεύεται με Ενδοφλεβικό Laser, με Υπερηχογραφικά κΚαθοδηγούμενη Σκληροθεραπεία με Αφρό, ή με Ιατρική Κόλλα.
Οι ιατροί πρέπει πάντα να έχουν στο μυαλό τους την πιθανότητα ο ασθενής με φλέβες στον αστράγαλο να πάσχει από Φλεβική Ανεπάρκεια. Οι φλέβες στον αστράγαλο δεν πρέπει να αντιμετωπίζονται μεμονωμένα. Γιατί οι κιρσοί στον αστράγαλο πρέπει να θεραπεύονται;
Οι ασθενείς με υποψία Φλεβικής Ανεπάρκειας πρέπει να επισκέπτονται ιατρό Φλεβολόγο με εξειδίκευση στη διάγνωση και θεραπεία της Φλεβικής Νόσου. Ακόμα και τα πιο μικρά μπλε φλεβίδια γύρω από την περιοχή του αστραγάλου μπορεί να κρύβουν κάποιο σοβαρό φλεβικό πρόβλημα.
Αν οι κιρσοί στον αστράγαλο μείνουν αθεράπευτοι για μεγάλο διάστημα, μπορεί να εμφανιστούν συμπτώματα όπως φλεβικό έκζεμα, δερματική υπέρχρωση, πρήξιμο στα πόδια, έλκη και σκλήρυνση χαμηλά στο πόδι.
Συχνά συμπτώματα των κιρσών στον αστράγαλο
- Πόνο στα πόδι και τον αστράγαλο.
- Ανήσυχα πόδια και συχνές κράμπες.
- Αίσθημα βάρους και κούρασης στα πόδια.
- Πρήξιμο, κοκκινίλες και ευαισθησία στο άγγιγμα, στα πόδια και τον αστράγαλο.
- Δερματικά έλκη ή εξανθήματα κοντά στην περιοχή του αστραγάλου (υποδεικνύει σοβαρή φλεβική νόσο).
- «Σπασίματα» στο δέρμα γύρω από τους κιρσούς του αστραγάλου.
Η φλεβική νόσος ή τα φλεβικά προβλήματα στην περιοχή του αστραγάλου μπορεί να εμφανιστούν:
- Μόνο με Κιρσούς – εμφανείς, μεγάλοι, διογκωμένοι κιρσοί, μικρότερα «πλέγματα» ευρρυαγγείας ή δικτυωτές φλέβες, χωρίς άλλα συμπτώματα ή πόνο.
- Κιρσοί σε συνδυασμό με συμπτώματα όπως πρήξιμο στο πόδι, ή φλεβικά έλκη χαμηλά στο πόδι ή στην περιοχή του αστραγάλου.
- Συμπτώματα μόνο χωρίς ορατές/εμφανείς προβληματικές/δυσλειτουργικές φλέβες.

Ενδοφλεβικό Laser
