He studied Medicine at the University of Athens, received his Surgical Specialty & retrained in Phlebology in Paris.
He has been exclusively involved in Phlebology-Angiology since 1997. He is a member of the Société Française de Phlébologie and the American Vein & Lymphatic Society.
He maintains 2 fully equipped vein clinics in Kolonaki & Psychiko, Athens-Greece, exclusively for problems of Venous Insufficiency and Aesthetic Phlebology.

Varicose Veins
Large, swollen and tortuous unsightly veins that protrude into our legs. They usually have a green or blue colour. Varicose veins are pathological veins that have ceased to return blood back to the heart and burden venous circulation.
Spider Veins
Tiny blue and red skin veins (broken vessels) that appear in groups mainly on our legs, but also anywhere on our body. They often coexist with larger veins and varicose veins.
Chronic Venous Insufficiency
When we neglect to treat varicose veins, they worsen. Venous circulation is constantly difficult and at some

Swollen Legs
The most common cause of swollen legs is venous edema (phlebo-edema), due to venous insufficiency. The lymphatic system often suffers, which is why we now talk about Venous-Lymphedema (Phlebolymphedema). Often in women we also find Lipedema.

TREATMENT PROCEDURES
In Valsamis Veins vein clinics, we apply the latest, non-surgical therapeutic methods for the treatment of varicose veins and spider veins.
We treat pathological veins with the least discomfort and the best functional and aesthetic result.
For this purpose, we select for each patient the most advanced, painless and minimally invasive techniques that suit their problem, offering the best results safely, with minimal discomfort and recovery time.
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)
Under ultrasound guidance, we place a thin laser fiber percutaneously into the central pathological vein that creates varicose veins. We emit laser energy and at the same time withdraw the fiber from the vein. The vein shrinks and is naturally absorbed by the body. Venous circulation is restored.
Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
With the precision and safety of ultrasound guidance, we inject percutaneous sclerosing foam into the pathological veins. These veins shrink and are naturally absorbed by the body. Venous circulation is restored. This is a highly specialized phlebological technique.
Sclerotherapy-Microsclerotherapy
Είναι η σημαντικότερη τεχνική της Αισθητικής Φλεβολογίας. για την εξαφάνιση ευρυαγγειών, δικτυωτών φλεβών και μικρών επιφανειακών κιρσών. Με μικροσκοπικές βελόνες εισάγουμε σκληρυντικά υγρά ή αφρό στις αντιαισθητικές φλέβες, προκαλώντας τη συρρίκνωσή τους. Οι φλέβες απορροφόνται, εξαφανίζονται και η αισθητική εικόνα αποκαθίσταται.
Vein Glue
Under ultrasound guidance, we insert a very thin catheter along the entire length of the damaged vein we want to treat. While withdrawing the catheter, we administer a special medical glue that painlessly seals the entire damaging vein. The vein is destroyed. Circulation improves.
Microphlebectomy
Under local anesthesia and with tiny incisions in the skin (often 1 mm), we remove varicose veins using special medical tools. Often applied simultaneously with "Endovenous Laser Ablation" and " Varicose Veins Glue" for better functional and aesthetic results.
Ultrasound-Guided Varicose Veins Marking/Mapping
We imprint with markers the map of both visible and invisible varicose veins on the legs, using special Triplex ultrasounds. It is performed before invasive treatments of varicose veins, such "Endovenous Laser Ablation", " Vein Glue" and "Microphlebectomy" for better aesthetic and functional results.

Treatments - Photos Before & After
Patient: 56 year old woman
Problem: Varicose veins of the thigh and calf, gradually increasing over 10 years.
Symptoms: Feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the thigh and calf. Occasional night cramps. Intense aesthetic discomfort.
Treatment Method: Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
Results: The symptoms disappeared from the first session. The leg feels strong and rested again. She is very happy with the result. A follow-up examination 2 years later shows a normal venous system.
Patient: 67-year-old man.
Problem: Severe varicose veins with signs of venous insufficiency such as edema and hyperpigmentation on the lower leg. He does not report any other complaints.
Treatment Method: Endovenous Laser and simultaneous Microphlebectomy.
Results: 6 months later, the edema on the lower leg has improved. Although he had no subjective complaints, after the treatment his leg feels lighter and more relaxed. He is not interested in further improving the aesthetics of the leg with Sclerotherapy injections.
Patient: 64 year old female
Problem: Moderate varicose vein problem. Varicose veins that appeared many years ago and are constantly worsening.
Symptoms: Feeling of fatigue in the lower leg and a tightening weight in the area of the varicose veins. It is aesthetically disturbing.
Treatment Method: Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
Results: 3 months later, the symptoms have disappeared, as well as the varicose veins.
Patient: 29 year old female
Problem: Small varicose veins
Symptoms: Feeling of tiredness in the leg, especially in the heat. Intense aesthetic discomfort.
Treatment Method: Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy
Results: 5 months later the symptoms and varicose veins have disappeared.
Patient: 45 year old woman.
Problem: Spider veins for 10 years.
Symptoms: Severe aesthetic discomfort.
Treatment Method: Microsclerotherapy. The correct technique does not leave marks and hyperpigmentation on the skin.
Results: Complete aesthetic result after 6 months.

Problem: Very dilated varicose veins. Fed by central venous insufficiency, but without varicose veins. Burning sensation in the lower leg. Severe aesthetic discomfort.
Treatment Method: Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy and Microsclerotherapy.
Results: 6 months later complete aesthetic result and improvement of symptoms.
Patient: 35-year-old woman.
Problem: Severe varicose veins. They appeared during pregnancy 7 years ago. After lunch, her leg hurts and she has difficulty at work. Severe aesthetic discomfort.
Treatment Method: Laser on the central vein (for the functional result) and at the same time Microphlebectomies of varicose veins (for the aesthetic result). The treatment lasted 1 hour, with local anesthesia.
Results: 5 months later, the patient feels incredible relief and excitement with the aesthetic result.
Patient: 38 year old male.
Problem: Severe varicose veins. They appeared 15 years ago and are constantly worsening. He has difficulty working.
Treatment Method: We combined Endovenous Laser and Microphlebectomy simultaneously for a complete result in one intervention - in just 1 hour, with local anesthesia.
Results: 1 and 3 months later, he feels like he has a "new" leg.
Patient: 60 year old female.
Problem: Severe varicose veins. End stage chronic venous insufficiency with a weak venous ulcer.
Treatment Method: Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy in the office.

Problem: Major varicose vein problem. They appeared 15 years ago. They are constantly getting worse. She has not reported any discomfort! However, she is concerned about the image of her leg and is aesthetically disturbed.
Treatment Method: Endovenous Laser of the central vein and simultaneously Microphlebectomy of varicose veins. Combination of two techniques for a complete and final result in one operation. After the treatment, her leg felt much lighter, although it did not feel heavy before the treatment. Often the body gets used to the diseased venous circulation and does not feel discomfort.

Patient: 48-year-old woman. 15 years ago, she underwent classic varicose vein surgery with multiple incisions on her right leg.
Problem: Reappearance of varicose veins in the operated leg. Severe varicose veins and spider veins near the ankle. She has no symptoms or discomfort! However, she feels that her leg has been cosmetically deformed.
